There are many types of crosses, with and without dots and gaps, as well as three-prong "Kobra" crosses:Ĭreating a custom crosshair overlay image is easy, and can be done very quickly using free online tools. You get a choice of numerous dot sizes, with and without borders:
The crosshairs compiled by Iris come in a variety of colors:
Simply download the image you would like to use and save it to the "Crosshairs" folder.Īn incredibly large collection of crosshairs can be found at this Google Drive, courtesy of Iris. To restore the default white dot, right click the variable and select "Restore Defaults".Ī larger set of premade crosshairs from the legacy. The preloaded crosshairs are shown below:
Right click the "Crosshair" component and click "Open Directory" to reach the mod folder, where the "Crosshairs" folder is contained. For easy access, copy and paste your own images into this folder so you can quickly navigate to them later on. Press the "" button and navigate to the file path of the image you'd like to use.Ī small set of preloaded images is included in the "Crosshairs" folder. If you accidentally hide the mod manager or need to access it while in-game (it hides automatically when a session starts), move your mouse to the left side of the client and click in the highlighted region with the arrow. On the main menu screen, press "Add Mod", find the "Crosshair Overlay" mod, and press "Install". These are quite complex and very entertaining elements of the game, it's too bad more haven't noticed this.Īnd further, a hardware crosshair doesn't qualify as "cheating", this is common knowledge. The Recursion Real-Time Stat Tracker now has a built-in configurable crosshair overlay! It features automatic centering of images, the ability to use any custom user-specified image for the crosshair, an easy way to toggle its visibility on demand, and immediate updating so you can change the crosshair in seconds if desired. Rust dev's have added a LOT of pve oriented content to the game: electricity, modular cars, elevators, farming, and many other features that will never be experienced by those who seldom advance above banging the rocks together.
On the topic of "cheating" (for the twelve year olds), it's darn hard to cheat when you're only fighting the occasional npc. The ASUS does have the advantage of offering a very small dot (only about 5 pixels), but when it migrates it's not really useful. It does seem like ASUS has a real problem with the dot staying in one place, I may just go ahead and get the Samsung G9. I've considered using software, but I'm pretty sure the anti-cheat would tag anything that hooks the program. I appreciate the reply from an adult, I was fully expecting at least some from head-banging basement dwellers lol. Absolutely perfectly centered and also just big enough that it is well visible and I designed it in such a way that existing crosshairs actually complement it. These days I just use ReShade with Layers shader and my custom made crosshair. Not to mention built in crosshairs are gigantic and basically suck. My VG248QE also has problem with crosshair being off center. ASUS seems to have absurd problems centering monitor crosshairs.
